Today a new online application launched: Vizualize.me Users can import resume data from LinkedIn, or edit their profile themselves. The result is an infographic of work experience, education, languages spoken, and customized “My Stats”- Estimate, for example, the number of hours spent tutoring as a volunteer, and the infographic shows work experience that may not be visible otherwise.
It’s definitely fun and easy to use. If there’s not enough customization at visualize.me, there’s plenty of software, online and through programs like excel, with which job applicants could make charts and graphs of their own.
Not all job applications allow for such a resume, and we should make resume choices based on our audience: the employer. However, the infographic resume may show more than employment and experience. It shows that the applicant understands multiple modes of communication, and what company or nonprofit wouldn’t want a skilled communicator?
